Week 4 of 52

TGIM……..my gosh it's Monday already!!  It's been a very busy week and I must say I got side tracked on my posting!  I had plans on writing all day…..then it's Monday sooo it was lots of household stuff today and my thoughts of posting just slipped by…..until NOW and it's almost midnight, geez!!

I did get several pieces of art finished…..didn't get photos taken so I'll post them tomorrow AND guess what??
I got the photos off my phone into the computer…..now the trick will be to get them posted here!!
I owe you two weeks of projects!!

Week 3 of 52

Oh thank God it Monday!   Can't tell you how grateful I am to be here on this Monday!  New week new beginnings!
Okay I still haven't figured out how to post my photos that I've taken on my phone....still working on that again this week....May have to call on the Apple store to get some help...I'm sure they can tell me what I'm doing WRONG.....geez it's so hard being me sometimes, heehee!
Okay this last week I did do some art...not collages, but jewelry!  I make these cute little stacking rings and some hoop earrings .... They all turned out way cute!  I do have photos but as I explained I can't get them loaded...but promise to post just as soon asi do!
The stacking rings were done in silver, plan to make some copper ones to go between the set...so they will sit a little better on Amanda's hand!
I then made these multi metal (brass, copper & silver) hoops with a smaller silver hoop that the ear wires were attached!
Amanda seemed to like them all!
Soooo it was a very full week!  Hope yours was to!

Thank God it's Monday……..Week 2 of 52

Thank God it's Monday……..and believe me it couldn't have been a better beginning of a new week!!

Last week was full of art…..I'll post photos tomorrow!

I had a friend come over and we played….doing collages…..trying new things…..some worked better than others and I have to say I am pleased with the results!

That was Tuesday and then on Friday I had the opportunity to alter some Cabinet Cards…what a blast that was, I had forgotten how fun it can be!
Just added some final touches to all the pieces, that I will show you all tomorrow!

I'm very please with my 2nd week of Project 52…..hope you will enjoy seeing everything as well!

I did it……this is the cabinet card I did……I call him my hippy dippy man!!  I might have gotten carried away with his mustache …… think my pin was a bit toooo thick!!

Oh and these are the colleges I did when a friend came over to play

Week 1 of 52

Okay let's see if I can do this…….
I changed the font…..not actually what I wanted but it's a bit different!  I'll keep trying til I come up with the style I am looking for…….sooo hang in there with me!

Now let's see if I can add a photo to this posting………I did it…..as you can see!
Learning something new everyday…..baby steps!!

 This is the beginning of my collage……layers on top of layers of recycled papers

 Here I begin to add some color…..acrylic inks

Here is the finished piece…….I finished with a stencil using white acrylic ink and dabbed it on!

I still need to mount the collage…..I've ordered the ampersand boards and should have it hanging by next weeks post!

Thank God It's Monday Beginning Project 52

Actually it's Tuesday…..it only took me two days and 3 phone calls to friends…which finally lead me to the internet to figure out how to get back to my blog account, so I could start up my blog again……geez!

Okay so this is what I'm going to do………..

Each Monday I'll post what ART, I did for the week…..
For Project 52….one piece of finished ART a week!  I'll post photos of this work and explain what I did….what I liked about it or the process of how I did it and then what I'd do differently.

I found this on Monday and just loved it…….it supports my thinking of this year's Resolutions…..it's a new beginning, I'm renewing my commitment to Collage Art!
Sooo hop on, we're off and flying……….

Happy New Year!

I’m sooo grateful for the beginning of a new year and the end of 2013!

It was a hard year......but we survived!! 

11-12-13 was the day of GB’s heart attack......what a strange date!

Now we’re trying to recover from the nasty cough of 2013.....it doesn’t seem to be the flu, no fever just the cough!

Hit the acupuncturist yesterday....hoped it would clear up over night.....not happening but a little bit better......AND met a new acupuncturist.....soo it’s a good ending and a hopeful New Year!

I’m starting a new project.....it’s called the Project 52.....I plan to do some finished ART once a week.....who knows where it will lead me but I’m looking forward to it!

My focus is going to be collage....think I’ll try and do them in a 5x5 size......thinking of our family......5 members who have added 5 to the family....pretty cool huh?

I’ve got lots of ideas and want to use up my recycled papers.....maybe a photo or two.....I’ve got tons of those as well.......reduce reduce reduce!

That’s the plan!

Amanda said something that I thought was really cool......about loving NY’s resolutions and Mondays.......what I got from what she said......Monday is the beginning of the week...an opportunity to renew, refresh and start over.......sooo that’s the plan for this New Years resolutions!!

No weight loss goals, no big plans to get down to a certain size by a certain time....just do some ART......learn what I can about it, enjoy what I’m doing and share what I’ve learned, use up my papers and paints......then blog about it!

So we’re off to a great start......I’m writing about my plans.....the action begins!!
