Week 8 of 52. Thank God it's Monday
Whew it's Monday already?? So hard to believe how fast this past week went........between getting car serviced, getting a new phone, getting that new phone set up with old apps, etc, jewelry classes, meeting up with the Jewelry Junkie gang....Then the weekend in Austin....what can I say
Thank God it's Monday!
It's a chance to take a breath and look ahead to a fabulous week!
I know you are wondering what fun creative things I've been doing......well as you know I've been working in the ART room....and as I told a friend who asked what I was creating now...I told her space....work space to be exact!
I took a few photos of that space and a shot of my work in progress......
Can you see the floor space here....it's not always this cleared! There is no need to step over whatever is on the floor, heehee! I use to call it the artist step!
Next is the stamp/paper area....it's got this weeks project laid out....hope to get finished this week!
I've surrounded this work in progress, with other cabinet cards....hoping for some inspiration!
I love having this space to leave things out...work on parts...then leave and come back to work some more....yeah...it's all coming together!
Okay it's past midnight....I've got to go to bed! Can't figure out how to paste from the iPad ....I'll add the photos from the other computer! I really need to learn how to do some things on this iPad, heehee! Nighty night!
Have fun this next week and try something new...push yourself ....you will be surprised at what you can do!

Week 7 of 52
TGIM……..Boy you can say that again…….whew it's been a very full week!
I can't say it's been full of ART but it's been a busy one just the same!
Started last Monday off with more Winter weather up here in the DFW area…..ice on the roads, temps in the 20's… more expected for the 1st part of the week……SOOOOO I took advantage of that and stayed inside off the roads, working in the ART room……I hated to miss my jewelry class at Brookhaven….really missed the ladies…..but I wasn't interested in dealing with a wreck or anything like that!
As I told you last week I was making great progress…..was heading into sorting my beads and findings! Well let me tell you as of 10 min ago I was STILL working on sorting out the beads and findings……I promise you it was like everything I touched multiplied by 10! I get one set of boxes sorted…..then I get started in on another group and then that group had to be combined with the 1st group and that has gone on for a week now! I did for a very short time have another cleared area….it didn't last long as I had to go look for something that was down at the bottom of everything else…..but when I put that back I was able to tighten it up a bit more and was able to get more things off the floor……such a great feeling to see cleared space on top and on the floor at the same time!!
I was able to join the Jewelry Junkies at a new location……we all had such a great time AND I finished our Valentine project! I think it turned out really nice…….what do you think?
I'm not sure if you can tell but this piece is 3 different types of metal…….nickel silver, copper and brass….they are all textured either hammered or etched. For some reason the nickel silver looks green in this photo…..but I promise you it's not!!
I just heard from a friend who is going to be doing a fund raiser for her lung surgery and I was thinking of donating this for an auction……is that something that is done?
Anyone out there have any experience with this kind of thing?
Well looks like this Monday is almost over with, so I'll say good night to one and all!

Week 6 of 52
Oh my it's hard to believe it's 6 weeks into the New Year already……where has the time gone?? I know I know……the ART studio!
Thank goodness it's Monday!! It's a new week and a new start……something that happens every week if we are lucky!!
This past week has been a all out effort to get into the ART room, sort, clean and make room for some workspace………mission accomplished!! In addition to the cleared workspace I have two totally full recycling containers for Thursday's pick up…..how about that…It's only Monday!!
I have now started on the other half of the room and am most excited…..it's almost done as well!
Now for the details…..still need to get into the beads and other findings, sort those puppies so that when I'm inspired I have some room to play!
I had a very exciting moment when I found the tool box that I used when attending ACC jewelry classes….I have been looking for it, knowing I had tools that I just couldn't find…..geez it was driving me CRAZY……and as a bonus there was the first stamped copper bracelet that I did…..the saying was "Normal is just a dryer setting" I laughed so hard….it was totally me!!
Had an opportunity to have lunch with a group of jewelry friends, we were all like little magpies, enjoying each other's company and show and tell on what we've been up to!! Fun Fun Fun
Okay as promised…..Photos!!
Or so I hope……I took them again on my iPad since the ones from my phone would never come across to the main computer….I down loaded them twice……with no luck!
Sooo here is my artwork!!
It worked…….hip hip hooray!! Now let's see if I can go back and add the photos from the past weeks!
AND keep my fingers crossed that I remember what I did for next week!
This coming week I'll be working on my Valentine Heart necklace, then I'm going to try and make some Valentine Cards for my sweeties!!

Week 5 of 52
Well its Monday and what great day it is.....got lots of stuff done in the ART room this past week!
I'm finally getting into the paper and collage side of the room...sorting, re packing AND throwing things out...well actually I'm donating the stuff to the goodwill...the main thing is it's leaving here...hip hip hooray!
I've worked on several projects this week....
Here's the new earrings I finished.....
Okay this is getting ridiculous .... I can see the photo in the file why can I down load it?
I've just spent that past 10 mins trying to get this done....guess that's what happens when I wait to the last minute to post something! Need to work on my time management this week when I'm not so tire!
